REMEMBRANCE is usually associated with two minutes of silence, but this summer veterans will be recognised with the roar of motorbike engines.
Thousands of motorcyclists riding through West Oxfordshire at an event to remember fallen servicemen and women.
As part of the Ride of Respect, bikers will raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Last year’s event had 2,500 bikers riding the 24-mile route, which runs from Dalton Barracks, near Abingdon, to RAF Brize Norton in Carterton, finishing at the memorial garden.
The June 1 bike-ride is returning to Carterton for the second time, with the annual bike ride’s first ever Ride’s End event.
