WITH a year to go until the General Election, the Labour Party are already starting to laugh in the faces of their opponents.

But while it may have felt like the perfect opportunity for a stream of gags aimed at Prime Minister David Cameron, the Witney MP got off quite lightly.

The Stand Up for Labour gig was held at Fat Lil’s in Corn Street, Witney, on Wednesday, in aid of the election campaign for the constituency’s Labour Party candidate Duncan Enright.

Mr Enright, who leads the Labour group on West Oxfordshire District Council, said: “Most of the night it was gags about how out of touch the Tories are rather, than focusing on individuals.”

More than 60 people attended.
