Andy Carroll has been included as one of the seven players on Roy Hodgson’s World Cup standby list according to the Daily Mail, but the West Ham striker seems unconcerned.

Hodgson’s offer to Carroll, 25, which will most likely see the striker miss out on the World Cup, seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

Soon after his appearance in the Hammers' 2-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium yesterday, Carroll posted a picture on Instagram suggesting that he and his girlfriend were ‘Dubai bound’.

The decision will now fall to Hodgson of who to include on the standby list in place of the former Liverpool and Newcastle United forward.

Carroll was included in Hodgson's first squad as England boss at a major tournament, scoring against Sweden in 2012.
