YOUNGSTERS might not be in school next week but they can still learn a thing or two about the world around them.

The Earth Trust is running a series of events over half-term at its reserve near Little Wittenham.

Oliver Rathmill, pictured, the Earth Trust’s education manager, said: “The reserve is looking amazing at the moment. There are a lot of flowers coming out and the buttercups are all over the hills.

“Half-term is a good excuse to come out and enjoy it, and the weather is looking okay as well.”

Events being organised include a baby and toddler buggy walk around the reserve, a forest school where youngsters can learn in the natural environment and a family bushcraft day.

Set up in 1967, the Earth Trust manages a 750-acre estate which includes the Wittenham Clumps and Thrupp Lake.
