Pupils give twin team a helping hand
9:00pm Friday 23rd May 2014 in News
PUPILS at The Batt Primary School in Witney gave hands-on support to one of the teams taking part in the Witney-Le Touquet Twin Town Challenge this weekend.
Pupils from Class 2D at the Corn Street school, including, from left, Jamie Hollingdale, seven, Zack Moran, six, Harry Maxwell, six, and Jacob Hayter, seven, used handprints to decorate the car being driven by the STL Belles team, who work at STL Communications in Station Lane.
Teams taking part in the event, in aid of disabled games charity Special Effect, will set off today from its headquarters at Cornbury Park, near Charlbury, to drive to Witney’s French twin town Le Touquet, tackle challenges at the Brands Hatch and Le Mans circuits on the way.
Jacob said: “The car looked cool and wicked. It’s great to know my hands were part of the race to help the charity.”
