A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been fined after admitting possessing cocaine for “social” reasons.
Samuel Stephens of Corn Street, Witney, was found in possession of the Class A drug when he was arrested on September 17 last year.
He pleaded guilty to the charge at Oxford Crown Court on Friday saying he had bought the drugs from friends for “recreational use” after going through a “bad patch” in his life.
Prosecutor Cathy Oliver said the amount of the drug he had was very small.
Judge Ian Pringle ordered him to pay a £250 fine and a £25 victim’s surcharge.
