TWO children from West Oxfordshire have won performing arts awards.
Huw Dickinson, 12, from Chipping Norton, and Freya Powell, 11, from Shipton-under-Wychwood, received a Bronze Arts Award, under a scheme managed by Trinity College London and the Arts Council England.
They worked towards the awards at the West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts in Witney, taking part in arts activities and teaching skills, including singing and dancing, reviewing a performance and writing about an inspirational actor or singer.
Academy principal Brian Conroy said: “Passing on their skills to younger students makes them an inspiration themselves.”
Mr Conroy received an Adviser Inspiration Award from the scheme after being nominated by Jamie Andrews for helping him to win a bronze award last year.
