Amayad Ali Bokhari, 18, of Howard Street, Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Abingdon on August 23. Fined £70 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with 10 points.

Saydul Islam, 38, of Bears Hedge, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted driving on Cowley Road, Oxford, without due care and attention on September 14. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Richard Kinnaird, 33, of Phelps Place, Oxford, admitted stealing a £1.99 bottle of beer from Cowley Road Tesco on September 13 and possessing 0.98g of cannabis, a Class B drug, in Cowley Road on July 6. Also admitted committing an offence while subjected to a 24-month conditional discharge given at Berkshire Magistrates’ Court on November 21 for theft and criminal damage. Ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work in the next year and pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.

Mouad Acheghaf, 36, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a purse containing cash in High Street, Oxford, on February 21. Sent to prison for 28 days.

Eamonn Anderson, 54, of Salter Close, Oxford, admitted stealing a £99 Nutribullet food processor from Robert Dyas in Shoe Lane, Oxford, on September 11 while subject to a suspended 12-week prison sentence given at Oxfordshire Magistrates’ Court on July 15 for theft. Sent to prison for 14 weeks and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Hayley Cox, 32, of Brome Place, Oxford, admitted stealing two cans of Jack Daniels and coke and a four-pack of Kopparberg cider, worth a total of £9.70, from Sainsbury’s, Cowley Road, Oxford, on September 8 and four ‘taste the difference’ chickens, worth £27, from London Road Sainsbury’s in Headington on August 17 while subjected to a 12-month conditional discharge given at Oxfordshire Magistrates’ Court for theft on July 25. Sent to prison for two weeks and ordered to pay £27 compensation and £85 costs.

Ellis Cook, 36, of The Glebe, Cumnor, Oxford, admitted stealing cheese and razor blades worth a total of £51.07 from the Co-op in Bury Street, Abingdon, on September 13. Fined £165 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Joanne Edwards, 51, of Stonesfield, Didcot, admitted drink-driving in Bridge Street, Abingdon, on September 6. Had 116 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mg legal limit. Banned from holding a driving licence for 48 months, given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Michael Hardisty, 31, of no fixed address, admitted stealing alcohol, food and magazines worth £28.05 from London Road Sainsburys in Headington on September 28 and failing to comply with the requirements of the sex offenders’ register by signing on at St Aldate’s Police Station on September 18. Sent to prison for 12 weeks, fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Kieran Ridout, 21, of Elms Road, Cassington, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence in Corn Street, Witney, on September 13. Fined £225 and ordered to pay a £23 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

James Alderton, 37, of Newton Morrell, near Bicester, admitted driving while disqualified, taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving without insurance in Baynards Green, near Bicester, on September 15. Given two-year driving ban. Community order made with 120-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

David Carnall, 19, of Mallard Drive, Witney, admitted an assault which caused actual bodily harm on June 15 in Witney. Given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, because the offence was committed while he was on bail for another alleged offence. Supervision and managing alcohol-related aggression requirements imposed. Told to pay £400 compensation and £85 costs.

Victoria Arthur, 41, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol worth £5 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on September 8. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Ibnan Saleem, 36, of The Fairway, Banbury, convicted of an assault by beating in Banbury on April 3. Community order made with 12-month supervision requirement and 100-hour unpaid work requirement. Restraining order made banning contact with victim. Told to pay £100 compensation and £775 costs.

Leon Caton, 22, of Harlequin Way, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Banbury Police Station, Warwick Road, Banbury, on September 15. Also admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence order made by Banbury Magistrates’ Court on April 14. Suspended sentence of eight weeks imposed and told to pay £40 costs.

Lisa Terry, 40, of Ruscote Arcade, Longelandes Way, Banbury, admitted stealing a bottle of perfume worth £38 from Debenhams in Banbury on July 31, a bottle of perfume worth £125 from Debenhams in Banbury on July 25, and packets of steak worth £41.76 from the Co-op in Mewburn Road, Easington, Banbury, on July 27. Community order made with nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement, thinking skills programme requirement and 12-month supervision requirement. Told to pay £79.76 compensation.

Richard Beadon, 53, of Ludgershall Road, Piddington, near Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Thame Road, Bicester, on September 13. Had 100 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Community order made with 110-hour unpaid work requirement and supervision requirement. Given a 44-month driving ban and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Ashley Day, 29, of Caernarvon Way, Banbury, admitted breaching a restraining order on September 27 in Banbury and committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 19. Given an 18-week prison sentence because of three previous convictions for breaching restraining orders and because of significant psychological harm being caused to his victim. Also told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.

Steven Fairburn, 35, of High Furlong, Banbury, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Banbury on August 30. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
