OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Shazizan Shahrani, 24, of Lidstone, Chipping Norton, admitted speeding at 70mph on Oxford’s Eastern Bypass, which has a 50mph limit, on March 29. Fined £233 and given five points on his licence. Also told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £23 and £85 in costs.

Peter Bromley, 52, of Whittington Place, Carterton, admitted speeding at 41mph in London Road, Blewbury,which has a 30mph limit, on March 20. Fined £200 and given four points on his licence. Also told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 in costs.

Godfrey Muiruri, 26, of Atwell Place, Oxford, was convicted of fraud after using a fake cheque for £1,800 at Santander, in London Road, Oxford, on June 3. He was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months, because he targeted a vulnerable elderly woman. He is to pay £1,800 in compensation, a victims’ surcharge of £80 and £640 in costs.

Chloe Brown, 31, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted begging on Rose Lane, Oxford, on August 15. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £40 in costs.

Lynn Rudge, 45, of Valentia Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted threatening an ambulance crew with a weapon in Valentia Road on August 12 and threatening another person on August 18. She was given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and told to pay £300 in compensation and a victims’ surcharge of £80.

Brian Kraus, 26, of Swallow Close, Bicester, admitted stealing alcohol from Sainsbury’s, in the Westgate shopping centre, Oxford, and perfume worth £216.50 from Debenhams, in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on September 24. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told pay a total of £48 in compensation and £85 costs.

Tadeusz Bednarowicz, 31, of Swarbourne Close, Didcot, admitted assault by beating. He was given a community order and a restraining order not to contact the victim and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £650 in costs.

Elizabeth Holdcroft, 34, of Baker Avenue, Benson, admitted speeding at 40mph on the A415, Abingdon Road, near Culham, which has a 30mph, on April 20. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Licence endorsed with four points.

James Wells, 43, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing two purses worth £76 from a Cath Kidston store on July 24. Given a community order and told to pay £76 in compensation and £85 in costs.

James Boys, 30, of Astrop Road, Kings Sutton, near Banbury, admitted speeding at 41mph in a 30mph limit on Ardley Road, Middleton Stoney, on March 29. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

John Hall, 55, of Bucknell Road, Bicester, admitted speeding at 36mph in Lamborough Hill, Wootton, near Abingdon, which has a 30mph limit, on March 18. Fined £133 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Paul Harris, 38, of The Green, Stanton Harcourt, near Witney, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph section of the A338 at East Hanney, near Wantage, on March 21. Fined £133, with £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence was endorsed with three points.

Stelios Koundouros, 42, of Richmond Road, Oxford, admitted speeding at 36mph in Woodstock Road, Oxford, which has a 30mph limit, on April 10. He was fined £117 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Royston Oxendale, 27, of Ash Lane, Ambroseden, near Bicester, admitted speeding at 35mph on a 30mph road, namely Ardley Road, Middleton Stoney, on March 16. He was fined £117 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Oliver Aldridge, 20, of Brookside Court, Woodstock, convicted of failing to comply with the community requirement of a suspended sentence made by Banbury magistrates on June 9 by failing to attend unpaid work sessions on October 15 and November 11. Four weeks of a suspended jail term of 26 weeks imposed.

Lorna Sinclair, 50, of Dirac Place, Didcot, admitted speeding at 37mph in a 30mph section of the A4074 at Warborough, on February 6. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Damian Skwara, 31, of Causeway, Banbury, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend unpaid work as instructed on November 1. Fined £100.
