AN ECLECTIC line-up of Michelin-starred chefs, TV presenters, pop stars, DJs and intellectuals have been unveiled for three West Oxfordshire music festivals.

Restaurateur Raymond Blanc, rapper Dizzee Rascal, foodie Loyd Grossman and historian Dan Snow are among the surprise additions to the bills for Wilderness, Cornbury and the Big Feastival.

M Blanc swaps the luxury of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons at Great Milton for a tent on the Cornbury Estate, near Charlbury, for Wilderness festival.

He joins previously-announced stars Bjork, Ben Howard and jazz-funk artist George Clinton for the arts event, which takes place from August 6-9.

M Blanc, who is also known to millions as the star of TV series Kew on a Plate and The Restaurant, will bring his Gallic culinary skills to one of the festival’s series of tented banquets, along with fellow Michelin-starred chefs Angela Hartnett, Nuno Mendes and James Knappett.

Also joining the festivities will be Sweden’s Niklas Ekstedt.

Mr Snow, son of journalist Peter Snow and a relative of Channel 4 News presenter and former Chancellor of Oxford Brookes Jon Snow, joins the festival’s programme of talks and debates alongside GQ editor Dylan Jones, comedian Dom Joly, Marigold Hotel author Deborah Moggach and philosopher John Lanchester.

Festival organisers have also announced a tranche of new bands and artists, with DJ Tom Middleton, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Asgeir, Shamir, Bombino, Lapsley and CC Smugglers joining the fun.

Rapper Dizzee Rascal is among the fresh names added to the line-up at the Big Feastival – the food and music event organised by chef Jamie Oliver and Blur star Alex James at the latter’s farm in Kingham near Chipping Norton from August 28-30.

He will be joined by artists Example and DJ Wire, hip hop musician Roots Manuva and Faithless star Maxi Jazz as well as previously announced acts Paloma Faith, Groove Armada, Ella Eyre and Grandmaster Flash.

A wealth of local talent has been added to the line-up for Cornbury Music Festival, which has been held at Great Tew Park, near Chipping Norton, since 2011.

Organisers of the event, which runs from July 10-12, this week revealed the line-up for its Riverside Stage with headliners The Jacques on Friday; blues band King B on Saturday and The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band on the Sunday.

Loyd Grossman – former presenter of TV's MasterChef who is now famous for his pasta sauces – also stars with his band The New Forbidden.

Other acts include Dance À La Plage, Sam Taylor, Alphabet Backwards, Zurich, Les Clochards, Toliesel, Brickwork Lizards and Robin and Joe Bennett’s band The Dreaming Spires.

Also appearing are Bright Works and The Standard. Highlights elsewhere include Sir Tom Jones, Supertramp founder Roger Hodgson, Billy Ocean, Motown queen Martha Reeves and Chas & Dave.
