BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Barry Bloom, 36, of Rotary Way, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to provoke a fear of unlawful violence in Broad Street, Banbury, on June 19. Also admitted begging in Broad Street on the same day. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Louisa Panter, 26, of Lennox Gardens, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Boxhedge Road West, Banbury, on June 10. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge, a £150 criminal courts charge and £40 costs.

Christopher Smith, 52, of no fixed address, admitted failing, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a supervision requirement after being released from custody. Sent to prison for 14 days “because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders”.

Jason Bean, 44, of Bicester Road, Kidlington, admitted drink driving in the Co-op supermarket car park in Banbury Road, Kidlington, on April 14. Had 322 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of urine over the 107mg limit. Fined £710 and ordered to pay a £71 victims’ surcharge, a £150 criminal courts charge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.

Alexandra Beba, 35, of Cheatle Court, Burford, admitted failing to provide a breath sample for analysis when asked by Thames Valley Police in Banbury on May 31. Fined £1,000 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge, a £100 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for three years.

Adam Chambers, 28, of Gibbs Crescent, Oxford, admitted stealing £80 worth of washing detergent and £100 worth of meat from the Co-op in Barberry Place, Bicester, on June 13. Also admitted committing an offence while subject to a suspended sentence for shoplifting made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 22. Sent to prison for a total of 14 weeks and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge and an £80 victims’ surcharge.

Dale Norris, 26, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted stealing £4.10 worth of food from Tesco in Middleton Road, Banbury, on June 4. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Deborah Southwood, 45, of Shillbrook Avenue, Carterton, admitted drink driving in Carterton Road, Brize Norton, on May 17. Had 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, over the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £30 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for three years.

Darren Evans, 38, of Hamilton Road, Bicester, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to the custody of Banbury Magistrates’ Court on June 19. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Edward Harrison, 53, of Market Place, Deddington, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Deddington on May 24. Fined £250 and told to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts’ charge.

Lucy Broomfield, 25, of Stable Block, Corner Meadow, Mollington, admitted two counts of stealing food from a BP store and a Tesco store in Brackley on February 19, and stealing food from a BP store in Brackley on February 14. Two other offences also taken into consideration. Given a two-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 12 months of supervision and a drug rehabilitation requirement for six months. Also told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Mark Partner, 53, of Mascord Road, Banbury, admitted speeding in Aynho Road, Adderbury, at a speed exceeding 30mph on August 14. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Given three points on his driving licence.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Dennis Underwood, 29, of Magnette Close, Abingdon, admitted drink driving in Abingdon Road, Oxford, on June 6 . Had 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 mcg. Fined £480 and ordered to pay a £48 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 20 months.

Patrick McFarlane, 53, of Emperor Gardens, Oxford, admitted stealing meat worth £75 belonging to Marks and Spencer from Oxford Retail Park on March 8. Also admitted stealing meat worth £75 belonging to Marks and Spencer from the same location on March 9. Further admitted stealing 12 jars of coffee worth £48.47 belonging to B&M from The Square, Oxford, on March 23. Fined a total of £300 and ordered to pay a total of £198.47 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Adam Islamov, 37, of Pipkin Way, Oxford, convicted of driving a vehicle in the B4044 West Way without due care and attention on July 2, 2014. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £500 costs. Driving licence endorsed with five points.

Max Cotton, 24, c/o Bankside, West Hendred, admitted failing to take all reasonable measures to prevent the escape of waste from his control or from the control of another person. Given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Elizabeth Bird, 48, of Beverley Close, Chalgrove, admitted failing to inform South Oxfordshire District Council between January 20 and October 13 in 2014 about changes that she knew would affect her entitlement to housing benefit after she started work. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
