TRAFFIC is gridlocked across Oxford’s roads this morning as the city’s children head back to school.
The A40 between Witney and Oxford is heavily congested towards the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe roundabouts, while Sunderland Avenue is busy in both directions.
And this is just the beginning for drivers as the roadworks being carried out by Oxfordshire County Council in North Oxford are set to last more than a year.
Drivers are also experiencing delays on the Botley Road in both directions, with cars stretching back to Seacourt Tower.
In Weirs Lane, South Oxford, traffic is queuing towards Donnington Bridge.
