ANNUAL music event Truck Festival was picked out for two top music industry awards.

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) listed Steventon-based Truck alongside four other events to contest the Golden Welly Award, presented to the best independent festival of the year.

The AIM ceremony took place in London on Tuesday night, but Truck was beaten by the Brainchild festival, East Sussex.

And the Live Music Industry Awards has nominated Truck for Best Festival (capacity under 15,000). A winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 16.

In July the festival at Hill Farm attracted 6,000 fans.

Early bird tickets for Truck are now on sale, at truckfestival.com.
