OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Daniel Hopgood, 22, of Talbot Close, Harwell, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Harwell on December 28 last year. Handed a community order and made subject to a two-month curfew. Also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Bernard Day, 44, of Ashurst Ward, Littlemore Hospital, Sandford Lane, Littlemore, was convicted in his absence of assaulting Shirley Allison by beating her in St Thomas’ Street, Oxford, on January 9. Also convicted in his absence of causing criminal damage by damaging a Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone worth £150 belonging to Shirley Allison in St Thomas’ Street on January 9. Also convicted in his absence of breaching a criminal behaviour order by approaching someone and asking for money in St Thomas’ Street on January 9. Admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 12 last year and admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Cowley Road, Oxford, on September 7 last year. Admitted to and detained at Littlemore Hospital and ordered to pay £150 compensation.

Konstantine Sapovalov, 38, of Lydalls Road, Didcot, admitted assaulting Michal Lako, causing him actual bodily harm in Didcot on November 10 last year. Handed an eight-week jail term suspended for 18 months. Also ordered to pay £3,000 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Charlotte Pauling, 29, of no fixed abode, admitted causing £145 worth of criminal damage by damaging a mattress, two blankets and the prison cell at Abingdon Police Station, in Colwell Drive, on December 12 last year. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Jordan Anderson, 23, of Hobbs Road, Faringdon, admitted drink-driving in Buckland Road, Bampton, on November 28 last year. Had 110 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £120 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs. Handed a 12-month driving ban and driving licence endorsed.

Paul Cox, 29, of Bayswater Road, Headington, admitted possessing cannabis or cannabis resin, a Class B drug, in Oxford, on December 23 last year. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Claire Gill, 38, of Amber Court, Norreys Road, Didcot, admitted stealing cakes and bread rolls from the Co-operative in Templars Square, Cowley, on January 28. Also admitted breaching a six-month conditional discharge handed to her on September 1 last year. Handed a community order and made subject to a two-month curfew. Also ordered to pay £19 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Bepu Razzaki, 27, of Moorland Close, Witney, admitted breaching a non-molestation order by visiting an address in Henry Box Close, Witney on October 30 last year. Fined £120 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £80 costs.

Musa Karimba, 41, of Falcon Close, Blackbird Leys, admitted drink-driving in Whitelands Way, Bicester, on January 1. Had 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £770 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £77 and costs of £85. Also banned from driving for 36 months.

Paul Merrills, 48, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class A, namely 0.8g of heroin, on October 1 last year. Also admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis resin. Fined £120, ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.

Jason Williams, 45, of Causeway, Banbury, admitted speeding in Marston Road, Oxford, by driving at 36mph in a 30mph zone on December 11 last year. Also admitted speeding in Banbury Road by driving at 35mph in a 30mph zone on December 1 and again on December 15. Fined £330, ordered to pay costs of £255 and a victim surcharge of £40. Had nine points added to his licence.

Julian Vanderhyde, 24, of Cornish Terrace, Cornish Road, Chipping Norton, found guilty of assaulting Stephen Kennedy by beating him in Perrott Close, North Leigh, on July 11 last year. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £775.

Sarah Allsworth, 31, of Foresters Tower, Wood Farm Road, Headington, admitted using a colour television receiver without a licence at her home between September 20 and October 21 last year. Fined £130 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Samantha Harvey, 33, of Edinburgh Way, Banbury, admitted assaulting Phillip Lydon by beating him and carrying a knife in Bretch Hill, Banbury, on October 26 last year. Handed a 10-week prison sentence suspended for one year with a 12-month supervision order, rehabilitation requirement. Also ordered to pay £75 in compensation, the £80 victim surcharge and costs of £85.

Paul Wyeth, 35, of Shackleton Close, Bicester, admitted stealing £29.97 of baby milk from the Wilko store, Market Square, Bicester, on January 6. Also convicted of stealing a Kenwood food mixer worth £129.99 from Lakeland in Bicester on July 12 as well as stealing deodorant worth £12 from Wilkinsons stores on October 1. Handed a 14-week jail sentence suspended for a year. Ordered to pay £41.97 compensation, costs of £150 and an £80 victim surcharge.

James Wallace, 38, of The Bull Inn, Sheep Street, Charlbury, admitted assaulting Shelly England and destroying a door belonging to Cotswold Lettings on October 13. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
