A WORLD record breaking bench-presser has a new dream – she wants Gary Barlow to sing at her 50th birthday.

Manon Bradley, from Witney, said she had only one weakness, her love for the Take That singer, and would love nothing more than have him perform at her party in the town this October.

The development director for Major Projects Association has been contacting the star every day on Twitter to encourage him to show up at her birthday, but now she wants her fellow townspeople to get behind her campaign.

Her messages to the singer first began when he announced he would pick a couple of big parties to sing at this year, after carrying out a few surprise performances at weddings last year. He gatecrashed a wedding at Aston Rowant in 2015 to perform to the bride and groom.

Miss Bradley, who lives in Meadow View with boyfriend Dale Trusler, said: "I was in my late 20s when Take That first came out in the 1990s. I went to their final concert when they split up too.

"I lived in Manchester at the time, and they were Manchester boys so we sometimes saw them in the street too, which was exciting.

"I've seen them six times overall and I saw them in Oxford two years ago on New Year's Eve, it was the best New Year's Eve I've ever had.

"They're all lovely but Gary Barlow is my favourite."

Miss Bradley's party is being held on October 15, four days before her actual birthday, and she has already invited friends, family and sorted out a band.

But she said it would be a dream come true if Gary Barlow, who has a house nearby in Alvescot, appeared to sing at her milestone birthday.

She added: "It would just be fabulous. It would be amazing and wonderful to sing with him and show him to everyone. I'd buy him a drink."

In July 2015, the Barlow super-fan won a title at the World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation single lift world championships in Telford.

And on Saturday, she broke her own world record for the bench press competition with a lift of 83kg.

On March 6, Mr Barlow tweeted to his four million plus followers: "If you have a 'milestone' birthday this year start your campaign now!"

Since then Twitter has been a frenzy, with people tweeting the singer to invite him to their do.

Miss Bradley, whose favourite Take That song is "Never Forget", has been sending Mr Barlow pictures of her hometown to entice him to come along.
