BINMEN across southern Oxfordshire are prepared for the task of collecting leftover pumpkins once Halloween is over.
To help ensure the waste ends up being composted along with other food waste after Monday, October 31 residents are being asked to place any pumpkin waste inside or on top of their food waste bin.
The council is reminding residents that they should not put pumpkin waste in any other bin, including their recycling bins.
Matthew Barber, leader of Vale of White Horse District Council, said: "There are plenty of delicious pumpkin recipes you can try but any waste that’s left over should be left inside your food bin or, if it won’t fit, placed on the top when you leave it out for collection."
