POLICE say there has been no CCTV footage found of the suspects, car or the abduction which led to the rape a 14-year-old girl in Oxford.

Almost one month on since the teenager was snatched from the street, no arrests have been made.

The force said it has received more than 500 calls from members of the public with information about the incident.

Officers have sifted through a 'huge' amount of footage since the attack.

But today, force spokesman Gareth Ford-Lloyd said: "We do not have CCTV of the incident, suspects or vehicle at this time, and we currently do not have a more accurate description of the vehicle beyond what we have already shared."

The 14-year-old girl was kidnapped as she was walking near the Banbury Road junction with Marston Ferry Road in Oxford on September 28.

Mr Ford-Lloyd added detectives were keeping an 'open mind' to whether the two suspects they were hunting for were still in the country.

The victim was taken between 8.15am and 8.40am by two men in what is believed to be a silver VW hatchback.

She was found knocking doors in Cavendish Drive, Marston later the same day and detectives have been searching for the attackers since.

E-fits of two men were released two weeks ago and Thames Valley Police said it had been unable to secure a slot on Crimewatch to further its appeal.
