Several crashes took place on the county's roads in the early parts of the evening.
Traffic was moving very slowly in parts of the Botley Road after a crash which took place at the junction with North Hinksey Lane, next to McDonald's.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Hannah Jones said: "TVP was called shortly after 4.45pm today to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A420 Botley Road. This was a damage only collision."
Just before 6pm taxi driver Colin Dobson said emergency services were on the scene and a traffic light pole had been knocked over.
The A420 at Cumnor was also partially blocked Westbound after a crash involving four cars. Traffic was moving very slowly in the immediate aftermath and the road was cleared by 8pm.
Reports were also coming in of a crash on the A34 Southbound around Hinksey Hill Interchange which has now been cleared.
