THE new MP for Witney has demanded to know how to avoid future hospital crises as more Oxfordshire patients weighed in with their stories of winter delays.
This morning, the Oxford Mail revealed that sites run by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have been on high alert since December 19. Full story here
This evening, Robert Courts said he was contacted by a constituent after a long wait with his mother at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Mr Courts said: "I can absolutely understand how distressing this situation must have been for them.
"This delay in being seen by medical professions can seriously affect the health of patients.
"I have raised this particular case with the authorities and asked what measures are being put in place to ensure that situations such as this can be avoided in the future."

Meanwhile people in the Banbury area have re-iterated demands for A&E services at the Horton General Hospital to be protected as a result.
Sue Priest spent Christmas Day at the Horton with her six-year-old daughter Florence, who had hurt her arm in a fall.
She said: "She was assessed, X-rayed, seen by a doctor and discharged all within three hours. There was no break.
"I will let you imagine how that story would have turned out if the Horton did not exist."
Yesterday the trust said it was seeing a 'sustained increase in demand' for emergency services and re-iterated its call for people to avoid A&E except in an emergency.
