B&Q has said firefighters were called to its Witney store this morning because of an 'overheated server' - but denied there was a fire.
Staff at the shop on Thorney Leys Business Park called 999 at 9.07am and closed the store because of a suspected possible fire.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was called to a 'small electrical fire' that was out by the time firefighters arrived.
B&Q has now issued a statement saying the problem was an 'overheated server' but said 'there was no fire'.
The store re-opened at 12.30pm.
