ROADS near Bletchingdon and Tiddington were shut this morning after separate crashes - at least one of which was 'serious'.

The collisions happened miles apart but prompted ambulance callouts at exactly the same time, 7.37am.

Part of the B4027 in Enslow, north of Kidlington, was shut for more than three and a half hours after a car and motorbike crashed.

The collision happened on the A4260 Banbury Road, at the Bunkers Hill junction.

South Central Ambulance Service said one man in his 20s was treated for 'serious' leg and arm injuries, and was taken to hospital.

The adjoining B road was closed between the Banbury Road and A4095 junctions until gone 11am, while recovery work took place.
