ALL three emergency services were on the scene of a lorry crash near Bicester.

A lorry overturned on the A43 on Ardley Roundabout at about 10.15am on Monday morning, at the junction with the M40 northbound slip road.

The lorry smashed on its side and blocked one lane of the roundabout, which is close to Cherwell Valley Services.

Clean-up teams are also looking at whether the carriageway will need to be resurfaced following the crash.

South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Michelle Archer said one man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with 'potential neck and head injuries'.

Thames Valley Police said the lane closure was likely to remain in place 'for most of the day'.

Two fire engines were also sent to deal with the crash.

Meanwhile the M40 between Cherwell Valley Services and Banbury has reopened after police dealt with a fear for welfare incident.
