TEMPERATURES are expected to plunge below freezing in Oxfordshire this week as wintry weather continues across the country.
Yellow weather warnings for snow and ice have been issued for much of the UK, including south west England and will be in place from today until Wednesday evening.
This has so far not been extended to Oxfordshire, however, this was the case last month when snow blanketed the county and in December when up to 5cm fell.
We will bring you more as the forecast is updated.
The cold is predicted to continue to bite with the Met Office's 'feels like temperature' which takes into account wind and chill having Oxford struggle to get stay above freezing until Sunday.
Last week, Benson, a notoriously cold spot, recorded a reading of -5C in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
