Witney Gazette:

Weather:

Temperatures in Oxford are currently at about minus five (-5C) and not expected to get above freezing today.

Last night, Oxford University's Radcliffe Obervatory recorded a temperature of -6.1C: the coldest March temperature in Oxford since 1965 and the coldest temperature in the city for any month since 2012.

A yellow weather warning remains in place from the Met Office for the whole of the county, with the higher amber alert covering parts of the south west including the Witney area, Faringdon and Wantage.

The warnings mean further snow is forecast for today for travel delays and cancellations.

Some light but significant snowfall is forecast for midday and temperatures are set to get to minus two (-2C) at the warmest by the late afternoon.
