A CHERWELL School student has died in a road accident over the weekend.
In an email to parents this morning headteacher Chris Price confirmed the school had been informed of the 'tragic news' a Year 9 boy was killed yesterday.
Mr Price wrote: "At this time our primary concern is supporting his family, friends, and those colleagues who knew him well.
"We have been speaking to all students in assemblies this morning and we have also talked to students who knew him well about how they can share memories or thoughts that we can then pass on to his family."
He said counselling would be available for students.
Mr Price added: "Our thoughts are with his family and close friends as we all come to terms with this loss."
It is not yet known where the accident took place.
