A POPULAR annual lambing event drew in hundreds of visitors yesterday – but had to be closed today after the snow hit once again.
The Earth Trust, based in Little Wittenham, showed off its new lambs for nature lovers both young and old with spring just around the corner.
Everyone who took a trip to the ecological charity was also given an opportunity to meet the trust's popular piglets and goats too.
Last year 8,500 people took a trip to the trust for the lambing event and the farm will be open next weekend for any people who missed out.
Next weekend there will be whole new range of activities, including bale climbing for keen children and a special Be a Farmer area.
The farm wrote on its website that it was 'really sorry' to people who had planned to venture out into the snow to visit it but that the decision was taken in the interest of people's safety.
