Sam Evans, a spokeswoman for publishers UIT/Green Books, said: "The Oxford Art Book showcases one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

"Inspired by Oxford’s unique architecture and historic university, more than 60 artists have produced a collection of contemporary images illustrating all aspects of the city and surrounding area and giving a fresh and vibrant perspective.

"Oxford is shown in a new light through a range of media, from screen print and computer-aided design to hand-cut collage."

A panel of experts from the Oxford Art Society, Oxford Brookes University and the Pitt Rivers Museum selected the prints.

Dame Helen Ghosh, Master of Balliol College, said: "It is a delight to see the city through the eyes of these artists, bringing out shapes, details and colour I have never noticed before. Oxford transformed!"

Emma Bennett is a full-time collage artist from Cambridge.

The Oxford Art Book, price £14.99, is published on September 12.
