DISTRICT council advisors are taking to the streets to raise awareness of recycling.
A team from West Oxfordshire District Council will be visiting households over the next six weeks to try and boost recycling in the area, particularly through the food waste collection service.
They will be answering recycling queries, distributing information and recycling containers, and giving residents more information on their household service.
Councillor Steve Good, cabinet member for environment, said: “Recycling and reusing materials helps the environment by saving energy and resources but sometimes it can be difficult for people to keep on top of exactly which items should be placed in which bins.
"Our website – westoxon.gov.uk - is an excellent source of information.
“Although West Oxfordshire has high recycling rates, we are keen to do all we can to help people achieve more which is why our advisors are raising awareness.”
Call the council on 01993 861025 or email westoxon.gov.uk/bins for more information.
