THIS spectacular sunset by Camera Club veteran Becca Collacott is a riot of vibrant colours.
Taken in Abingdon last week, we love the contrast of the purple and golden orange lighting up the sky, especially seen through the clouds.
They provide the image with texture, giving it an almost painted quality as if mimicking brushstrokes.
Added depth comes from the silhouetted trees in the foreground which are hazy and slightly blurred.
There is still time to enter a sign-themed snap for our weekly theme.
See Friday's paper for a double-page spread of the best photographs, with the winner revealed in the following day's edition.

Happy snapping!
