A MUSIC academy is aiming to bring the house down with three nights of live music before it leaves its much-loved venue.

MuzoAkademy hosts its first 'Last Chance Saloon' event at The Rock Barn in Witney on Monday, with further gigs Tuesday and Wednesday.

The charity must move out of the building by Thursday, after an application to replace the venue with six flats was approved by West Oxfordshire District Council's planning committee earlier this month.

Monday's gig will celebrate the work done by MuzoAkademy, which teaches music to more than 100 people of all ages and abilities.

MuzoAkademy bands and local DJs will perform live in an event organised in partnership with Witney Music Festival.

Tuesday's second leg sees Hip Hop artists take over, with a live band, open mic cypher and beat boxing also featuring.

The last night - dubbed 'The Final Showdown' - includes sets from several top local bands, such as New Depth and Twisted State of Mind.

Entry is free but donations to the #savetherockbarn fundraising page will be gratefully received.

In some good news for MuzoAkademy, Wood Green School has agreed to let the charity store its equipment at the school until it finds a new home.
