Nannette Watts, 56, of Beverley Gardens, Bicester, admitted failing to notify Cherwell District Council she and husband Roy Watts had received increases in income that she knew would change her entitlement to benefit. Sentenced to 40 hours community work and must pay £100 costs to the council.
Kevin Ward, 43, of Beaufort Close, Bicester, admitted assaulting a woman on February 22. Sentenced to supervision for six months, 80 hours community work and must pay £85 costs.
Val Appleyard, of Conifer Drive, Bicester, admitted driving a Peugoet without road tax on September 29. Fined £36, ordered to pay unpaid road tax of £35.84 and costs of £60.
Mathew Barlow, 37, of Thames View, Abingdon, convicted of keeping a car without road tax on August 18. Fined £200, ordered to pay unpaid road tax of £17.50 and costs of £60.
Brant De Beer, 31, of Gibbs Road, Banbury, convicted of keeping a car without road tax on September 26. Fined £200, ordered to pay unpaid road tax of £35.84 and pay the costs of £60.
Solly Klou, 30, of Greenfinch Close, Oxford, convicted of keeping a car without road tax on October 4. Fined £400, ordered to pay unpaid road tax of £63.64 and costs of £60.
Tom Connors, Milton Road, Bloxham convicted of not telling authorities about transferring a vehicle on January 10, 2011. Fined £200, pay victim’s surcharge £15 plus £60 costs.
Martin Butler, 40, of Bainton Road, Bucknell, admitted stealing copper cable from Network Rail in Banbury on March 10. Fined £100, plus compensation o£100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
Thais Santos, 22, of Hurst Street, Oxford, convicted of not telling authorities about transferring a vehicle on September 7, 2010. Fined £200, plus victims’ surcharge of £15 and costs of £60.
Elliott Finley-Wheeler, of Circus Street, Oxford, convicted of keeping a car without road tax on January 11, 2011. Fined £400, ordered to pay unpaid road tax of £43.34 and costs of £60.
Ian McDowell, 26, of Caernarvon Way, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Banbury, on March 17. Fined £133, plus victims’ surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.
Gary Todd, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to surrender to Banbury Magistrates’ Court on February 13, Oxford Magistrates’ Court on January 31 and Banbury Magistrates Court on April 2. Re-sentenced for an offence of assault from December 17, 2010. Jailed for 20 weeks.
Geoffrey Mahoney, 59, of Nursery Close, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of whisky worth £28 from Marks & Spencer in Bridge Street, Banbury, on November 18, three bottles of spirits worth £84 from Marks & Spencer in Bridge Street, Banbury, on January 14, a cast iron casserole pan and copper saute pan worth £450 from Abraxas in Cornhill, Banbury, on January 14, and a tagine worth £125 from Abraxas in Cornhill, Banbury, on November 18. Community order covering alcohol treatment for eight days, and 12 months supervision by probation.
Sam Pearce, 22, of West End, Chipping Norton, admitted obstructing Pc Beth Crocker on March 23 and being carried in an unlawfully taken vehicle on or about September 30. Given an 18-month conditional discharge, disqualified from driving for 12 months and told to pay £85 costs.
