Fire causes jam

Motorists were delayed on the A34 yesterday after a car fire on the northbound carriageway near Kidlington.

Fire crews were called shortly before 10.40am to tackle the blaze.

Traffic tailed back past the Botley and Hinksey Hill interchanges after one lane was closed until noon.
