Banknote fetish man gets jail sentence cut on appeal
A “BIZARRE” pervert who repeatedly flouted a court order banning him from approaching young girls will be back on the streets sooner than expected after his sentence was cut on appeal. As part of a strange fetish, Stuart McGhie, 42, pictured, drops banknotes and has money dangling from his pocket in an attempt to attract schoolgirls.
McGhie, of Church Cowley Road, Oxford, was jailed for two and half years at the city’s crown court in April after he admitted two breaches of an Asbo banning him from contacting teens.
But judges at London’s Court of Appeal have cut his sentence to two years – of which McGhie will serve one behind bars.
Mr Justice Foskett said: “There has been no suggestion so far of any attempts at physical contact. The concern of the courts is that there might be a development of his behaviour in that direction.
“He plainly needs help.”
