Pension debt is written off

A COUNCIL has said it will not pursue a pension overpayment to a scheme member because they had died.
An Oxfordshire County Council report says of the £238.18 owed: “Finance has advised write off on basis that it is uneconomic to take any further action.”
Three further overpayments to deceased pension fund members worth a total £4.69 have also been written off.
