People convicted of offences at magistrates' courts around the county recently:

  • Hayley Dolton, 25, of Oxford Road, Littlemore, admitted assaulting Pc Simon Collins, Pc Alex Shepherd and Pc Graham Weir and obstructing Pc Graham Weir in Oxford on June 27. Given a year’s supervision and told to attend the Thinking Skills programme for 20 days. Told to pay £150 compensation.
  • Sanjay Singh, 22, of St Luke’s Road, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on April 14. Told to participate in the community domestic-violence programme for 30 days and given 24 months’ supervision. Also told to pay £200 costs.
  • Peter Whittaker, 62, of Greenfields, Upper Arncott, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Ploughley Road, Arncott, on January 27. Had 111 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107mg. Fined £130, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for a year.
  • Simon Goff, 43, of Jordan Hill, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on January 10. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and banned from the Jericho Tavern pub for a year.
  • William Loveridge, 44, of Kiln Lane, Garsington, convicted of driving without insurance in Wharton Road, Headington, on October 23. Fined £600, a £15 victims’ surcharge, £450 costs and £130 compensation.
  • Dean Hannington, 36, of The Orchard, East Challow, Wantage, admitted having a skinning knife and Gerber lock knife in public, namely East Challow village hall, on July 5. Given 150 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £80 costs.
  • l Mark Hawthorne, 44, of Youens Drive, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Stratton Way, Abingdon, on May 31. Had 87 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £110, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs. Banned from driving for three years.
  • Mandy Place, 44, of The Lees, Faringdon, admitted being drunk and disorderly in London Street, Faringdon, on July 7. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
  • Sabina Munteanu, 19, of Morris Road, Birmingham, admitted shoplifting food valued at £102.01 from Tesco in Cholsey on July 8. Given a three-month daily curfew between the hours of 7pm and 7am and told to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. Also told to pay £16.50 compensation and £50 costs.
  • Geoffrey Muirhead, 32, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) on a towpath behind Botley Road, Oxford, on May 25. Fined £50 and sent to prison for a week.
  • Rosalind Hughes, 62, of Candy Way, Wootton, Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in Besselsleigh Road, Wootton, on June 10. Had 132 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £500, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for three years.
  • Lina Rostas, of Uckfield Road, Enfield, London, admitted shoplifting food valued at £102.01 from Tesco in Cholsey on July 8. Given a three-month daily curfew between the hours of 7pm and 7am and told to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work. Also told to pay £16.50 compensation and £50 costs.
  • Owen Maughan, 50, of Longlands Road, Oxford, admitted using words or writing with intent to cause racially or religiously aggravated fear of immediate unlawful violence in Longlands Road on June 29. Given a four-day restorative justice programme and told to pay £85 costs and £100 compensation.
  • Michael Lincoln, 32, of Cotswold Park, Didcot, convicted of using a colour television without a licence on March 11. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.
  • Melanie Thurgood, 30, of Bayswater Brooks, Didcot, convicted of using a colour television without a licence on March 28. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.
  • Cathie Ward, 33, of Venners Water, Didcot, convicted of using a colour television without a licence between October 23 and November 24. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £75 costs.
  • Robin Hussey, 54, of High Street, Sutton Courtenay, convicted of using a colour television without a licence on August 16, 2011. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.
  • Ross Cantwell, 25, of Redbridge Hollow, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on November 20. Given two years’ supervision and 150 hours of unpaid work. Also told to attend the ‘managing alcohol-related aggression’ course for 11 days and pay £100 costs.
  • Michael Hardisty, 29, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting three bottles of wine valued at £17.97 from Marks & Spencer in Oxford on August 25. Given a six-month conditional discharge.
  • Martin Bloomfield, 21, of Park View, Sydenham, Chinnor, admitted drink-driving in Station Road, Chinnor, on April 22. Had 209 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Given 100 hours of unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
  • Philip Murphy, 64, of Oakfield Road, Carterton, admitted drink-driving in Minster Road, Brize Norton, on August 27. Had 65 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.
  • Lance Simmons, 26, of Lake Street, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis and theft of two pedal cycles on or before August 11 in the area around Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford. Given 80 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Timothy Smith, 41, of Bayswater Road, Oxford, admitted four counts of assault by beating in Stockleys Road, Oxford, on June 17. Given a three-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Given three months’ supervision and told to participate in the community domestic-violence programme for 90 days. Also told to pay £85 costs.
  • Dean Chesshire, 23, on Dunsomer Hill, South Moreton, admitted possessing ketamine (Class C) in Blewbury on July 14. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Patrick Turner, 46, of Sterling Court, Banbury, admitted sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy in Banbury between February and May 2010. Given 30 months’ supervision and 20 days on the sex-offender treatment programme. Put on the sex offender register for five years.
