Hundreds of homes in Carterton without power

More than 300 homes in Carterton are still without power after a fault at a sub station last night.

Around 2,000 people in the town lost power was lost at 12.26am after a cable box fault at the Hill View sub station.

Southern Electric has since restored power to most of these customers but expects the rest won’t have their supply restored until midday today.

A spokesman has apologised for the inconvenience and said engineers were currently working to fix the problem.

I wonder why Carterton always having all these problems, out of whole Oxfordshire, why Carterton-why ?

Live in Hill View, was a bit of an explosion when the power went down, at first we had a little power still running (not enough to power a fridge though). About an hour later we lost the lot, was rather nice though to be able to look at the stars on a clear night though.
