The upturned car after the accident
A MOTORIST got away unscathed after his car overturned on the B4437 near Charlbury yesterday.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews to the accident, involving a black Ford Fiesta which left the stretch of road from Chadlington to the Chilson junction, going towards Burford, half a mile from the Chilson turning at 7.30am.
The vehicle landed in a field but when the fire crews arrived they found the man had released himself from the vehicle and was uninjured. They worked to make the area safe.
Thames Valley Police also attended the incident, ensuring traffic could pass by safely.
Oxford Mail photographer Mark Hemsworth snapped this dramatic photo after driving past the accident scene at 8.30am.
