THOUSANDS of people have visited a website which keeps them in contact with their local police officers.
More than 50,000 hits have been recorded on the website www.whosmybobby.co.uk since it was launched in September by Thames Valley Police.
Two hundred people have also signed up to a free e-mail service which includes monthly updates from Neighbourhood Sergeants, press releases and features.
Dennis Evernden, West Oxfordshire's police area commander, said: "To achieve an average of 1,500 hits to the website every day is great news and confirms that this new service has been welcomed by communities around West Oxfordshire."
