A PLAYGROUP in Minster Lovell rated outstanding by Ofsted has created a new home to teach West Oxfordshire’s youngsters.
Minster Lovell Playgroup’s new £80,000 centre replaced a dilapidated building in the grounds of St Kenelm’s Primary School.
The new building opened on September 10 following work during the summer holidays.
Supervisor Vicki Wright said: “We’re all absolutely delighted with the new building and facilities we can now offer the village.
“It is such a relief to feel we have secured the future of the play group.
“It gives the children such a good start and gives them a place to make friends and develop at their own pace.”
The playgroup looks after about 20 youngsters between the ages of two and five.
The new building was funded with a £24,000 grant from Oxfordshire County Council, £16,000 grant from Minster Lovell Parish Council and fundraising.
