Quick decisions needed to tackle traffic issues

Sir – So, Oxfordshire County Council doesn’t want to get involved in the compulsory purchase of land for the Shores Green slip road scheme.
So why did it waste millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money at an inquiry into compulsory purchase of land for the Cogges Link Road?
Now, because they were so slow in making a decision, millions more of taxpayers’ money is likely to be lost.
Isn’t it about time the councillors stood aside for those who would be prepared to make quick and sensible decisions for the transport system and infrastructure in Witney, before all the available funds are lost and we are back to square one?
