Vandalism at The Leys despicable

Sir – As I have the Gazette sent to me, I got to read the front page story about The Leys (January 9).
I felt the damage that was done on the Leys by mindless thugs driving vehicles on the grass was despicable.
I do hope that whoever did the damage (probably a few), are caught and punished.
As you said in the story, The Leys is for use by Witney people and was laid out as a memorial to Witney folk lost in the war. I do hope that the damage can be repaired.
