Sir – With reference to your article ‘Getting in step for schools dance show’ (Gazette, January 22): it reminded me of an award-winning documentary DVD that is available, called Mad Hot Ballroom – 6,000 kids, 60 schools, 10 weeks, one dream.
The film follows New York fourth and fifth graders as they journey into the world of competitive ballroom dance. As they prepare for a city-wide competition, they learn it is not just about dance, but about life.
Comical and genuinely touching.
