Sir – Last Tuesday, which is not normally regarded as an exceptionally busy one, I did some shopping in WH Smith in Witney.
I had to go round the shop for the various items I needed.
I am not obese, I did not have a trolley or a baby in a buggy, but I continually had to squeeze up to let other people pass, or apologise for bumping into someone.
The shop was not really busy, but already the lack of space makes shopping in there a less than comfortable or pleasant experience.
Have the powers that be who, against very strong public opinion, decreed that Witney Post Office should be move into these premises ever tried to shop in there?
All the arguments and protests are history now, but what a bad decision has been made.
Sheila Murkin, Cornfield Close, Witney
