Sir – For a number of years, my husband and I have donated very generously to Sobell House hospice, through its Witney warehouse, including several pieces of antique furniture.
However, on our last visit to the warehouse, approximately six weeks ago, we encountered much the same attitude as David Miles (last week’s Gazette Letters).
As my husband began unloading, an assistant appeared and proceeded to select the items she would accept.
On reflection upon our last visit, we had noticed the absence of any gratitude or good manners.
We had already decided we would not be donating to Sobell House in the future.
