Sir – At last a tantalising glimpse into the reopening of the Corn Exchange (last week’s Witney Gazette).
Is there now a slight possibility that the people of Witney will be consulted as to what it will be used for?
We still have no idea of what our secretive town council asked for when they applied to the Heritage Lottery fund – for all we know they may have planned a lap-dancing club for our delectation.
Any chance of a public meeting where interested groups could be consulted? If so, could the council please advertise it prominently in the Witney Gazette.
Oh – and could all the members of the council’s public halls committee have the courtesy to attend this time?
