Sir – For the third week running, it seems like congratulations are in order again – this time for Witney North’s new town councillor Dean Temple.
When I parted company with this council seat in May this year, my wish was that the councillor to take over would be community driven and not party driven, and from his letter (July 8), he sounds like a man after my own heart.
May I just plead on behalf of the majority of North Witney residents, for councillor Temple to take up the mantle of fighting against the hare-brained planning application of 200 plus 800 houses in North Witney, and with it the ludicrous West End Link Road across the regularly flooded meadow at Cannon Pool (The clue’s in the name...)? Our community would expect nothing less of him.
