SIR – I refer to last week’s article about blind veterans. I am a member of the blind veterans which is better known as St Dunstans.
I am registered blind and as an ex-serviceman I have received all the help necessary from blind veterans which has enabled me to live as full a life as possible.
Blind veterans say that no person who has served his country should suffer visual impairment or blindness alone.
The length of service is immaterial, anyone who has served in the armed services whether National Service or otherwise who now suffers with vision impairment and blindness will receive their help. If any ex-service personnel has any of these conditions I would urge them to contact blind veterans on 0800 3897 979 and I can assure them that their life will be transformed.
