Practical decision
Sir – Without the full support of the Arab States and the UN this situation will never be resolved and tragedies such as the little boy, who drowned, will continue.
What good is taking a few more thousand when millions are at risk? Who will make the selection and on what basis will the selection be made?
Surely the demonstration should be against the crimes being committed and the inaction of the UN and Arab leaders.
I believe David Cameron was wrong to give into what amounts to emotional blackmail by reversing a sound and practical decision.
