Sir – May I, through you pages, thank everyone involved in the daffodil planting at Burwell Meadow on Saturday last.

Daffodils were donated by local residents but a big thank you especially to B&Q, Witney, who donated two sackfuls which made all the difference to the bulb count.

In addition, we were supported by our local councillor, David Harvey, Witney Town Council, West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council who moved very quickly to give their authorisation for the planting.
