Sir – I see Oxfordshire County Council has applied to extend the expired planning permission for the Cogges Link Road (public notice in the Witney Gazette, April 25).
Here we go again: yet more taxpayers’ money wasted on their pet white elephant.
I wish the council would instead use some of our money to do something about the appalling state of many of our existing roads, instead of continuing to throw money at this one.
